Steve Szyndrowski, the Windy City Ghostbusters Charity Liaison, talks to Patrick about the 2024 Windy City Ghostbusters Toy Drive for La Rabida Children’s Hospital, as well as the impact the Toy Drive from 2023 had on the children that stay at La Rabida throughout the year. We hear about toys that are often overlooked during toy drives and find out about a couple of fun events that are supporting this year’s toy drive. For the second half of the show, we’re joined by the founder of Tennessee’s 731 Ghostbusters franchise, Jason Smith. Jason shares with us what it was like to start the group in a couple of years ago, and the incredible growth they’ve seen in membership. He tells us about the huge jump in events they’ve been hired for this year, and their exciting partnership with The Carl Perkins Prevention of Child Abuse Super Hero Day events. Jason tells us stories of growing up a Ghostbuster fan, and the incredible positive impact on children that he’s seen firsthand since becoming a Ghostbuster.
